How to Install Smokin Brothers NEW Fire Pot And Ceramic Ignitor
These instructions will show you how to install the Smokin Brothers NEW and fire pot and ceramic ignitor.
INSTALLING THE NEW FIRE POT & CERAMIC IGNITOR
1. UNPLUG YOUR GRILL
2. Remove your grill grids, grease tray, and heat shield.
3. Remove the front panel of your grill and lay on 5-gallon bucket.
4. Unplug the purple connector (Ignitor) and unknot it. Then unplug the orange and white connecter (fan). Remove your fan from the bottom of your grill and set aside. You may have to undo your RTD sensor if you do not have enough workspace. (The 2 wires going into the top of your controller)
5. Using a 5/16 socket remove the 4 screws from the fire pot securing it to the grill.
6. Twist and pull the old fire pot and hot rod out of the grill.
7. The new ignitor screws into the new fire pot. The ceramic ignitor will not stick into the fire pot like the previous hot rod.
8. Slide the new wire into the air chamber and push down to where it is accessible from the fan hole.
9. Slide the plastic molex connector through the small hole to the right above the fan.(The hole you pulled the old hot rod through)
10. Shimmy the fire pot back into position.
11. Tighten the fire pot back to the grill with 4 screws using a 5/16 socket.
12. Verify the fuse is a 5 amp fuse, if not, please change the fuse to a 5 amp.
13. Reattach your molex connectors. The purple (ignitor) and the orange (fan).
14. Put your front panel back on your grill.
15. Put your heat shield, grease tray, and grill grids back in the grill and in their proper position.
16. Plug the grill back in.
17. Turn on and check to ensure all functions are working. Happy grilling!!!
