Smokin Brothers Hot Rod is used to ignite the pellets in the fire pot. Either control is programmed to activate the hot rod for the first 4 minutes the grill is turned on and then turns off. If the Hot Rod fails to operate, the pellets can manually be lit using a fire gel to continue cooking until a replacement can be installed.
