Smokin Corn on the Cob

Items Needed:

-5-6 ears of corn still in the husks

-64 ounce bottle apple juice

-Plastic pitcher with a lid

-Butter, salt, pepper and granulated garlic

Steps To Take:

1 – Set Grill at 250 degrees.

2 – Choose about 5-6 ears of corn that is still in the husks.

3 – Take a plastic pitcher that has a lid and stack the corn, still in the husks, into the pitcher. Stack the corn in the pitcher as tight as you can get it.

4 – Fill the pitcher with apple juice.

Water may be used in lieu of the apple juice.

5 – Secure the lid onto the pitcher and let the corn soak for about 30 minutes.

Soaking the corn for 30 minutes puts moisture into the corn on the cob as well as adding a little flavor to the corn.

6 – After 30 minutes, remove the corn on the cob from the pitcher and place the corn on the 250 degrees grill and close the lid.

7 – Grill the corn on the cob for 30 minutes.

8 – Check for doneness by pressing gently on the corn while still on the grill. The corn should be nice and soft to the touch. The husk will also have turned a golden brown.

9 – Using tongs, remove the corn from the grill.

10 – Serve the corn on the cob still in the husk or gently pull the husk from the corn.

11 – Roll the corn in butter, sprinkle with salt, pepper and granulated garlic.

12 – Enjoy your sweet corn on the cob.
